Dhruv Kohli — Architect + Designer / Tokyo + New Delhi
Dhruv Kohli is an Indian architect & computational designer based in Tokyo, with previous professional experiences in Paris & New Delhi.
He is also a fellow of The Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce, and a licensed architect affiliated to the Council of Architecture, India.
Kohli has worked on projects ranging from urban scale Airport terminals, Hotels, Residential towers, Corporate offices to small scale detail-oriented furniture pieces, lighting fixtures and so on, across various regions of Japan, China, India, & France.
With a strong emphasis on natural forces, contextual regionalities, & experience of space, he is probing a curious investigation of theoretical thinking towards enabling architecture as a catalyst to social changes while containing the cultural heterogeneities amidst the rapid urbanization/de-urbanization, through indigenous knowledge of space, construction, and collective identity of the community.
